Dhoom 3 is an Indian attempt to make a Hollywood(like) movie but it fails miserably. I am not just saying that so sound cool or something but you will understand what I am trying to say after you watch this film. There are so many loopholes in the story…oh wait,There isn't a story. Its just plain non sense. Coming to the sequences, the opening one is emotional which sets a base to the whole vendetta story. Then we have the present time and the first robbery (which is actually second in screenplay). The CGI should be appreciated but the action (e.g. Aamir seemed to be flying) scenes are quite unbelievable. They not only defy gravity, but also logic. The chase scenes looked like they were just intended for the audience to be enthralled, without thinking of why, how or what. Policemen hesitating to act, holding firearms but not actually using them and even appreciating the stunts of the thief through walkie- talkies. Forget it! I don't understand how did Mumbai Police cops Jay Dixit( Abhishek Bacchan and Uday chopra) land up in Chicago to help the CPD. And like the previous installments of once hit franchise, Abhishek's plan on how to stop the thief is a master plan. Its called "Lets wait for the next one". The music is actually nice when compared with Pritam's previous works and I am just saying that is because I cant find the original source of that music as of now but I am pretty confident that I will, given the history you know! Song placement is just horrible. I didn't really get that why was there a romantic song in between..just coz it's a bollywood movie? I am of the view that there are too much of them. Saying that, there are a couple of dance sequences which were good…it seems that Amir and Kat really worked hard for that unlike Deepika who got them done by a body double in Ram Leela.

Well, the locations aren't bad. It's mostly shot in Chicago, and some of the vistas used as backgrounds for the bridges look pretty awesome. The stunts themselves, however, are both pointless and badly edited. Khan's bike (which is a Transformer, for some reason) is flung around excitably enough but hurling action figures isn't the same as choreographing an action set-piece. So much time is spent in slow- motion, and so long do we linger on each shot, that the chases appear sluggish. There is no sense of urgency. At one point, stationary police cars randomly start to do cartwheels, perhaps only to indulge Director's inner Rohit Shetty. Like I said, if your child doesn't know what movies are, he might be amused. For a bit. VFX is heavily abused in this one. First half of the movie sucked big time. Second half is better but still not worth spending Rs 300. the film is, essentially, a dumbed-down version of Christopher Nolan's The Prestige, arguably the greatest movie ever made about magicians. I would rate this mediocre film 4 on 10 with a suggestion to wait for Torrents/Blu-Rays or cheap road side DVDs
